Hello, friends:

It's too cold/grey/rainy/snowy (you choose the adjective) to play outside! Why not come meet with the Undergraduate English Society for a talk and presentation on The History and Art of the Graphic Novel? Professor Carol Tyler (DAAP) and UC grad. student Kate Polak (English) will be sharing some of their knowledge and ideas about the graphic novel with the UES next Tuesday afternoon. This is a first-time collaboration between DAAP and the English Department, as well as the first public presentation and discussion on the graphic novel for undergraduates in the English program, and we're excited to present it.

The Nitty Gritty:

Tuesday, February 5th, at 3:30pm
ROOM 43, McMicken Hall

This should be a fun educational experience, and you should feel free to take notes and ask questions--or to just watch and learn.

Carol Tyler's graphic novel will be available at this event for $25 (Regularly $29)

And lastly, we are working on our itinerary for the Winter quarter, so expect to hear from us soon about additional events and outings, discussions and readings and the like. Check back here for updates as well.
